Reading Jehovah’s Word is a fulfilling experience. There is much to learn from the Bible. However, witnesses often find themselves forgetting to read or unable to commit to reading the Holy Book regularly.

The Five Ps is a Bible Study technique designed to help witnesses commit to reading the scripture and implementing what they learn. The method consists of five easy steps:

1. Position yourself to listen to Jehovah. Remove any distractions. Pray that Jehovah empowers you to remain engrossed in your Bible study.

2. Pore over passages, paraphrasing important points, and asking questions. Who is the protagonist in the passage? When and how did the events written about take place? Where and why did they occur?

3. Pull out spiritual principles. What do you learn about Jehovah from the passage?

4. Pose a question. Ask yourself a question based on the spiritual principle you identified from the passage. The question should revolve around the principle and how you can act on it to strengthen your faith.

5. Plan obedience. How will you implement what you have learned? When will you do it?
