The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society was established in 1884 by the Jehovah’s Witnesses as a fundraiser for various international activities. The Society is particularly involved in publishing and distributing the Bible to Witnesses all around the world, as well as other pieces of Bible-based literature.
Over the years, the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society has supported the publishing of more than 220 million copies of the Bible, not to mention in excess of 40 billion Bible-related writings. These publications have been translated to more than 700 languages.
More recently, the Society has made the Bible in its entirety available to online readers without charge in 120 different languages. To read the Bible online or to learn more about the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society’s services, including charity work and educational opportunities, please visit
